The accommodation facilities that are listed below comprise of luxury, mid range and budget hotels and visitors have a wider range of options to make their better choices. Top Places Where to Stay in PNV Rwanda

Accommodation in or close Volcanoes National park is not a problem because there are number of lodges, hotels and camps that one can consider staying in.  Some of the accommodations are as close as 5 minutes walk  from the starting point of all the activities in Volcanoes National Park. Whereas those that are further are just 1 hours drive from the starting point.

Clients can opt to stay in Kigali and depart early  around 4:30am to arrive in time for briefing of activities. However this is stressing and we always recommend it for those who just have a day to spare for the gorilla safari, golden monkey or volcanic hike activity.  This is majorly because it is stressing and we do not often recommend it. We recommend the two days trip or 3 days safaris.  This would hence allow one to stay in Musanze or Kinigi close to Volcanoes National Park and be able to visit explore Volcanoes National park without rushing.

Types of Accommodation

We have grouped these lodges into three that is;  Exclusive luxury accommodations, Standard luxury accommodations, Moderate accommodations and basic accommodations.

Exclusive accommodations; are majorly 5 star lodges, whose prices are all inclusive to include all drinks and the services are extra ordinarily good that you will not regret your decision. The lodges are strategically located, with picturesque views of the volcanoes yet their rooms have an African touch. There rooms cost between US$500 to US$900 per person  a night.

Standard Luxury Accommodations

These are mostly 3.5-4 star lodges with better facilities than mid-range accommodation. Some have internet services and minibars and they have beautiful structures. Most of these facilities serve continental cuisines and some have swimming pools. The prices of these rooms range between US$300 a night and US$500 per person a night.

Moderate accommodations; are mid range facilities with 2-3 star amenities. Rooms are self-contained and have dining rooms attached to them which are only for the use of the lodge’s resident’s.  These accommodations range between US$ 100 and US$ 290 per person a night.

The Budget Accommodation;

These are simple style lodges with simple bedding. Basic accommodations do not have amenities like television, Minibars and they sometimes run out of hot water. Therefore you may be required to order room service for hot water. Much as they are basic hotels, they have restaurants which provide meals to clients.

All levels of accommodation are available in close proximity to the headquarters of the park. This therefore allows one a participate in a vast number of activities.
