Day One –pick up and transfer by road to Volcanoes NP Ruhengeri

Your experienced Rwanda guide will be the one to pick you up at the hotel or on your early arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL). Drive from Kigali for 2-3 hours to get to Volcanoes NP in Ruhengeri, Northwestern Rwanda. For guests picked early morning at their hotel in Kigali, there is possibility of embarking on the city tour which includes paying a visit to sites like Kigali memorial site, craft centers, local market and others.

Day Two –Gorilla trekking adventure with a well-trained park guide

It is one this day when you get briefed about the gorilla trekking regulations and the park official also assigns gorilla families to groups of visitors. Each group of tourists visiting a single group of gorillas will be comprised of only 8 people. One experienced guide leads you through the park for you to look for the gorilla group. On normal circumstances, the day trek can go for 2-6 hours but this includes an hour for up close and personal with the massive mountain gorillas.

Day Three –depart

There will be no activity on the last day or you can opt for golden monkey trek which takes 2-4 hours. Once you have returned from your search for the golden monkeys, then check out of your lodge and you will get back to Kigali. On arrival at Kigali, check in at the hotel or drive up to the airport ready to depart back home.
