    1. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: The Name a Gorilla Contest (the “Contest”) entry period begins on Wednesday June 4 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on June 20, 2014 at 4:59:59 a.m. ET (the “Entry Period”)

      Entry in the Contest does not constitute entry into any other promotion, contest or sweepstakes. By participating in the Contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Solimar International, 1327 14th Street NW, Suite 320, Washington, DC 20005 (the “Sponsor”), whose decisions shall be final and legally binding in all respects.

    2. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open to legal residents of Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, Judges, Administrators,Rwanda Development Board, African Wildlife Foundation, Dian Fossey Institute, promotion prize suppliers, and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, franchisees, distributors, dealers, sales representatives, their advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Contest (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are not eligible to participate. All eligibility is subject to all federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. All entries submitted are the property of the Sponsor. The Facebook database clock will be the timekeeper for this Contest.
    3. HOW TO ENTER: To access the Contest application, you must “Like” the Travel Rwanda Facebook page or one of the contest’s partner pages.

      During the Contest Entry Period, enter the Contest through the application on the Rwanda Travel Facebook Platform (the “Application”) You may access the Application at www.Facebook.com/USGulfCoastStateGeotourism by clicking on the tab to the “Contest” page. Enter the Contest by completing the entry form. You may also enter at the following URL:

    4. PRIZE: The winner will receive:
      • Round trip airfare for two from Dar Es Salaam, Nairobi, Bujumbura, OR Entebbe.
      • 3 nights accommodation (double occupancy) at a hotel or hotels to be determined
      • Ground transportation within Rwanda, from the airport, to the hotel and to Volcanoes National Park
      • 2 permits for a Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park

      The prize must be collected October 1 – and October 31, 2014.

      • Prize is provided on an “as is” basis, without any warranty of any kind, are non-transferable, Prize may not be redeemed for cash or substituted in any manner by any prizewinner; provided, however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize (or portion thereof) becomes unavailable.
      • With respect to any Prize that includes accommodations and/or airfare, the request for desired travel dates must be made in writing to the designated representative via email no later than thirty (30) days prior to desired travel; provided, however, accommodations, air transportation and vacation packages, to the extent any of the foregoing are included in any Prize, are all subject to availability and Sponsor cannot guarantee the accommodation of requested dates. Sponsor is not responsible for transportation of the winner and his/her guest to New York. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary.
      • To the extent that any Prize includes airline transportation or other travel arrangements, air transportation shall be by coach class, and all such travel arrangements will be made by a designated representative whose decisions regarding the itinerary are final. Selection of airline and airport shall be at the discretion of Sponsor or any other provider of any portion of the Prize. Trip winner and travel companion must have valid travel documents (e.g., government issued I.D., passport, etc.) along with any other travel requirements in order to travel to Rwanda prior to departure, and failure to do so may result in forfeiture of Prize. Winner and his/her travel companion are solely responsible for satisfying all legally required conditions of travel. Sponsor is not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation or delay or any weather or airline issues that prevent the prizewinner and travel companion, if applicable, from traveling, in which event any missed portion of the Prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided.
      • Prizewinner is responsible for any and all applicable fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges, all insurance, federal, state, provincial, local and foreign taxes, if any, gratuities, meals, incidental charges and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the prize. Prizewinner and travel companion are responsible for the full cost of transportation to and from the prizewinner’s place of residence.

      All estimated retail values are subject to change based on, among other things, normal price fluctuations associated with the travel in the marketplace and date of departure. Each winner is responsible for any applicable taxes on any prize received. If the Prize or the Prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable or any non-compliance with the Official Rules or failure to respond and execute and return the appropriate forms within the applicable time period, it will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate prizewinner will be randomly selected from all remaining eligible entries received.

    5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Conduct of the Contest is under the supervision of the Administrator. Grand Prize winner will be notified in person and/or by phone and/or by email or mail or express mail using the contact information provided at the time of entry. The potential winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/publicity and liability release, and return it properly executed, within (5) days of attempted notification as a condition of awarding the prize. Sponsor shall have no liability for any potential prize winning notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by any potential prizewinner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, any potential prizewinner does not respond within (5) days of the first notification attempt, or if the Prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential prizewinner, an alternate prizewinner may be selected. Alternate prizewinner will be defined as the first runner-up as determined by the Judges. If any potential prizewinner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines a Prize for any reason prior to award, such potential prizewinner will be disqualified and an alternate prizewinner may be selected.
    6. PUBLICITY RELEASE/ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS: Acceptance of any Prize constitutes prizewinner’s permission for the Promotion Entities to use prizewinner’s entry materials, name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and complete address (collectively, the “Attributes“), for advertising and/or publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, without further compensation or authorization, (except where prohibited by law), and releases the Promotion Entities from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.

      Each Entrant, Finalist, and Grand Prize winner: (i) grants to the Sponsor, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use his/her Photo and Photo Essay, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Contest or for any other reason; (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Photo in favor of the Sponsor; and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related cause of action that relate in any way to the Entry. The Sponsor/Administrator reserves the right, in its/their sole and absolute discretion and at any time during the Contest, to modify, edit or remove any Photo, if a complaint is received with respect to the Photo, or for any other reason. If such an action is necessary, then the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to remove the Photo from the Contest.

      The Grand Prize Winner further agree to make themselves available and pose for such photographs, recordings, and videotapes as Sponsor or its designees shall request at no additional expense, and the Grand Prize Winner understands, acknowledge, and agree that no such photographs, recordings, motion pictures, and videotapes or other uses of the prizewinner’s name, likeness, and voice or any advertising copy, recording, or artwork will be submitted to the prizewinner and that the prizewinner will have no right of approval thereof.

    7. DISQUALIFICATION: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, or to disparage, annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. No incomplete, forged, software-generated or other automated multiple entries will be accepted. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
    8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:Sponsor, Administrator, Facebook, Inc., and the Promotion Entities are not responsible for, and entrant hereby releases Sponsor, Administrator, Facebook, Inc., and the Promotion Entities from any claims arising from: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (iv) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; (v) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant’s computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest and (vi) use of any prize.
    9. DISPUTES: Entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and the venue for such litigation shall be the U.S. District Court for the state of Washington, D.C.; provided that, if for any reason the federal court for the state of Washington will not or cannot hear such action or proceeding, the venue for such litigation shall be the courts of the State of Washington D.C. Entrant irrevocably waives any objection, which entrant may now or hereafter have to the bringing of any such action or proceeding in such respective jurisdictions, including any objection to the laying of venue based on the grounds of forum non conveniens and any objection based on the grounds of lack of in personam jurisdiction. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Washington, D.C., without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Washington, D.C. or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Washington D.C. By participating in this CONTEST, you HEREBY KNOWINGLY, VOLUNTARILY, AND INTENTIONALLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT MAY EXIST TO HAVE A TRIAL BY JURY IN RESPECT OF ANY LITIGATION BASED UPON OR ARISING OUT OF, UNDER, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH, this sweepstakes.
